Wednesday, September 8th - With Jeff's vision for ALC to be the church that is more of a church outside the walls and not within, he has asked that instead of attending "church" this upcoming Wednesday night, that we, as disciples of Christ, spend that evening as well as this entire week investing in our community. Whether you invite a neighbor over for dinner, or spend the evening helping someone in need, we want you to invest in the world that Christ called us to serve. We look forward to hearing amazing feedback as to what happened within your community this week! OTHERS! OTHERS! OTHERS!
ALC Life Group – Life Groups are the primary way we connect with others and live our lives on mission. These smaller groups of people provide an opportunity to know others and be known within ALC. Through these relationships, we mutually challenge and encourage one another to truly believe our Identity is in Christ and live life in ways that show the world who God truly is. Beginning this Fall, each Life Group will be challenged to identify their unique mission within the larger community. Each group will meet regularly to eat, learn, pray and be together on mission, living out the Gospel in real and tangible expressions. Whether you consider yourself part of the ALC Family -- or if you're just checking out what it looks like to live as Jesus lived -- it is our vision that everyone who calls ALC, their church, would be an active member in one of these Life Group communities. If you are interested in being part of a Life Group in your neighborhood, you will have an opportunity on September 12 to sign up! Upcoming Sundays - It is our desire on September 19th & 26th to update ALC's Member Data-Base by taking pictures of our members in the Lobby. We are a rapidly growing family and it is our Staff's desire to connect with everyone! We all want to ensure that everyone who is a member of ALC is a "known" part of our ALC family! As always, your information is kept confidential. This is only to serve the ALC Staff, so please stop by!!
First Wednesday – Growing people become a growing church! Pastor Jeff has a vision to create a new ministry environment on the First Wednesday of each month through the end of 2010. This will be one hour of high-octane leadership, vision, and equipping toward a more effective ministry at ALC. Every ministry leader, investor, life group leader, and ALC Lifer, is asked to be in attendance on October 6th at 7pm. Childcare will be provided.
Are you ready some football?!! The men of Abundant Life Church will be gathering at Randy White's BBQ in Frisco on Monday Night, October 25th to watch the Super Bowl 45 Champion Dallas Cowboys square off against the New York Runts. Start time is 7 pm with an all-you-can-eat buffet for $10!
